About Me

Welcome! I’m Janene and I’m so happy you’re here.

A FEW THINGS ABOUT ME:

I pour the milk before the cereal (I’ll understand if you leave right now) and I have zero self-control around a bag of Doritos. I thought a sloth was a mythical creature until two years ago, when my 9-year-old informed me that it is, in fact, a real animal.

I live on a small island with my husband and three children, who once asked me 159 questions in 6 hours and nearly made me lose my mind.

I create LOTS of memes, and I love to write about the humorous side of life and parenting.

Since I started a public Facebook page two years ago, I Might Be Funny has grown to over 500,000 followers on social media. It has been quite the ride and I appreciate each and every one of you!

PUBLISHED WORK:

My work has been published on Scary Mommy, Grown & Flown, Love What Matters, Her View From Home, Perfection Pending, That’s Inappropriate, Being A Mom, TodaysMama, Parent Co., Sammiches & Psych Meds, and Humorwriters.org, among others.

Additionally, I am published in the humor anthology “Laugh Out Loud: 40 Women Humorists Celebrate Then and Now…Before We Forget”, through the Erma Bombeck Writer’s workshop.

UP NEXT:

I have a mother-daughter journal scheduled for publication in Feburary of 2021 and I am currently at work on a middle-grade novel.
